🌟 Medanta Hospital Launches Cardiology OPD in Bahraich

Bahraich, November 8: A major step toward improving access to quality heart care for the people of Bahraich and nearby areas was taken on Saturday with the inauguration of Medanta Hospital’s Cardiology OPD in the city. The OPD, located at Gambhir Clinic, Hanuman Puri Colony, Railway Station Road, Bahraich, will make expert cardiac consultation and guidance available locally, reducing the need for patients to travel to big cities like Lucknow or Delhi for treatment.
The OPD was inaugurated in the presence of Dr. Mahim Saran, Director, Department of Cardiology, Medanta Hospital, who personally examined patients and provided consultation. Dr. Saran informed that the Cardiology OPD will be functional on the second Saturday of every month from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, offering both preventive and primary heart care services.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Mahim Saran said that the aim of this initiative is to make advanced cardiac care affordable and accessible to every section of society, including those from rural and economically weaker backgrounds. “We want to ensure that people do not suffer or delay treatment due to lack of facilities or financial constraints. Common citizens can also avail Medanta’s high-quality medical services free of cost or at subsidized rates by using their Ayushman Bharat Card, Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, and other government health benefit schemes,” he stated.
He further added that timely and correct diagnosis plays a crucial role in preventing major heart diseases. With Medanta’s presence now in Bahraich, patients can receive early diagnosis, lifestyle advice, and expert consultation without having to travel far, which will help save lives and reduce complications.
Dr. Rahul Singh, Senior Consultant, Cardiac Surgery, Medanta, said that this OPD will not only offer treatment but will also raise awareness about heart disease prevention, early symptoms, and healthy living habits. “Heart diseases are rapidly increasing, especially among younger people due to sedentary lifestyles and stress. Regular checkups and early intervention can significantly reduce risk,” he emphasized.
The opening of the Medanta Cardiology OPD has brought a new ray of hope for patients in Bahraich, where access to specialized cardiac services was previously limited. Residents from nearby districts like Shravasti, Balrampur, and Gonda will also benefit from this facility.
