Bahraich, May 29: Enumerators and supervisors who demonstrated exceptional performance during Phase-I of Census 2027—‘House Listing and House Enumeration’ (HLB)—were honored in Bahraich district for completing their assigned work with dedication, accuracy, and efficiency. Officials informed that nearly 200 enumerators who achieved 100 percent completion of house enumeration work are being recognized for their contribution.
Additional District Magistrate and District Census Officer Amit Kumar honored Jyoti Gaur, Assistant Teacher at Primary School Badgaon-I under Risia Development Block in Nanpara Tehsil, and Seema Pal, Assistant Teacher at Primary School Padritara, at his office in the Collectorate for completing the HLB work ahead of schedule. He stated that other enumerators who have shown exemplary performance would also be honored at the tehsil level.
ADM Kumar said that a total of 6,233 enumerators have been deployed across the district for Census 2027 operations. Out of them, 200 enumerators have successfully completed the House Listing and House Enumeration work in their respective areas. He appealed to residents to cooperate fully with census officials and employees, emphasizing that the census forms the foundation for planning and implementing development schemes. He also assured that the entire census process is secure and all information collected remains strictly confidential.

Naib Tehsildar Nanpara Shailesh Awasthi stated that under Phase-I of Census 2027, initiated by the Government of India in 2026, enumerators and supervisors who carried out their responsibilities with dedication, responsibility, and accuracy were honored with Certificates of Appreciation after successfully completing enumeration of all houses in their assigned HLB areas.
The honors were presented by Amita Yadav, Deputy District Census Officer and SDM Nanpara; Shailesh Kumar, Charge Officer and Tehsildar Nanpara; and Arun Kumar Verma, Deputy Charge Officer, Balha. Officials said that sincerity, punctuality, and accuracy are essential in a significant national exercise like the census, and that employees delivering outstanding performance inspire others.
Among those honored were Baby Malik, Ruchi Chaudhary, Aman Kumar, Shashima Kushwaha, Amit Badola, Jyoti Verma, Chandan Yadav, Atul Singh, Neelima Srivastava, and Archana Shakya, along with several other enumerators and supervisors.
