Business community and society mourn the irreparable loss

Gaurishankar Bhaniramka, District President of the Uttar Pradesh Udyog Vyapar Mandal Bahraich and a towering figure in the city’s business and social life, passed away late Monday night at his residence. He was 80. His demise has left Bahraich’s business fraternity and society in deep mourning.
According to family members, his funeral procession will depart from his residence in DSL Green City on Wednesday, September 24, at 8:30 a.m. and proceed to Trimuhani Ghat, where the last rites will be performed. His body has been kept at his Dargah Road residence for final respects. He is survived by his wife, sons, daughters, and grandchildren.
Bhaniramka became the District President of the Chamber of Commerce in 1985 and held this position for nearly four decades. Widely regarded as a fearless leader, he consistently raised the concerns of both small traders and large business owners before the government and administration. Despite maintaining cordial relations with officials, he never compromised on business interests, earning the trust and respect of the trading community.
Beyond business, he made significant contributions to society. He served as President of the Grain Traders’ Association, was a founding member of the Rotary Club of Bahraich, and played active roles in educational institutions, social and religious bodies, and community organizations. Honored with the title “Agrakul Gaurav” for his service to the Agrawal community, he was equally admired for his simplicity, friendly nature, and commitment to public causes.
His passing has been described as an irreparable loss by leading figures in Bahraich’s business community. Prominent businessmen including Ashok Matanheliya, Deepak Kumar Soni ‘Dauji’, Ashish Kansal, Kulbhushan Arora, Luv Malhotra, Brijmohan Matanheliya, Manish Malhotra, Navneet Agarwal, Vijay Chhapadiya, Pankaj Chhabra, and Sumit Khanna paid heartfelt tributes, recalling his lifelong dedication to trade and society.
