Bahraich, August 21. A delegation of the Uttar Pradesh Udyog Vyapar Mandal, led by district president Gaurishankar Bhaniramka, called on newly-appointed District Magistrate Akshay Tripathi on Monday. The traders’ body welcomed him with a bouquet and a memento, expressing hope for strengthened coordination between the administration and the business community.
Speaking on the occasion, senior vice-president Manish Malhotra said that the delegation submitted a memorandum highlighting several key demands. These included the development of a new industrial area, creation of pledge parks, attracting investments under Invest UP, ensuring uninterrupted power supply, improving drainage facilities in industrial estates, and simplifying the process of arms licence inheritance for traders.
The DM assured the delegation that pending arms licence inheritance cases will be disposed of expeditiously, and reiterated the district administration’s commitment to supporting industrial and trade growth in Bahraich.
Among those present in the delegation were Kulbhushan Arora (karykaari president), Brijmohan Matanhelia (general secretary), Navneet Agrawal (treasurer), Deepak Soni (city president), Ashish Kansal (city general secretary) and Sumit Khanna (city treasurer).
