बहराइच, 22 जनवरी — जिला बेसिक शिक्षा अधिकारी आशीष कुमार सिंह ने बताया कि निःशुल्क एवं अनिवार्य बाल शिक्षा का अधिकार अधिनियम (आरटीई) 2009 के तहत अलाभित एवं दुर्बल वर्ग के बच्चों को गैर-सहायता प्राप्त मान्यता प्राप्त निजी स्कूलों में कक्षा 1 तथा पूर्व-प्राथमिक कक्षाओं (नर्सरी, एलकेजी, यूकेजी) में 25 प्रतिशत सीटें आरक्षित रखी गई हैं। उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार ने शैक्षिक सत्र 2026-27 के लिए प्रवेश की समय-सारिणी जारी कर दी है।

प्रवेश प्रक्रिया पूरी तरह ऑनलाइन होगी और लॉटरी प्रणाली के माध्यम से पारदर्शी तरीके से चयन किया जाएगा। आवेदन आरटीई पोर्टल rte25.upsdc.gov.in पर किए जाएंगे।

बीएसए श्री सिंह ने विस्तार से जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि आवेदन प्रक्रिया तीन चरणों में पूरी होगी:

• प्रथम चरण — आवेदन 2 फरवरी 2026 से 16 फरवरी 2026 तक। सत्यापन एवं लॉकिंग इसी अवधि में। लॉटरी 18 फरवरी को, नामांकन आदेश 20 फरवरी तक जारी।
• द्वितीय चरण — आवेदन 21 फरवरी से 7 मार्च 2026 तक। सत्यापन 7 मार्च तक। लॉटरी 9 मार्च को, नामांकन आदेश 11 मार्च तक।
• तृतीय चरण — आवेदन 12 मार्च से 25 मार्च 2026 तक। लॉटरी 27 मार्च को, नामांकन आदेश 29 मार्च तक।

सभी चयनित बच्चों का प्रवेश 11 अप्रैल 2026 तक अनिवार्य रूप से कराना होगा।

प्रत्येक निजी स्कूल की प्रारंभिक कक्षाओं की कुल क्षमता का न्यूनतम 25 प्रतिशत सीटों का मैपिंग एवं पंजीकरण किया जाएगा। अभिभावक आवेदन में अपने ग्राम पंचायत/वार्ड का चयन करेंगे, जिसके आधार पर आस-पास के अधिकतम 10 स्कूलों की वरीयता क्रम से चुनी जा सकेगी। ‘आस-पास’ की परिभाषा में स्थानीय निकाय (ग्राम पंचायत या नगर पंचायत/नगरपालिका वार्ड) को इकाई माना जाएगा।

            A decision of the Forest Department to shift a healthy rescued tiger to Gorakhpur Zoo instead of releasing it back into the wild has drawn sharp criticism from wildlife lovers and experts, who have termed the move unfair and against conservation principles.

            After a three-day rescue operation, the adult tiger that strayed into Rehuwa Mansoor village under Ramgaon police station in Mahsi tehsil was successfully tranquilized on Saturday evening by a team of forest personnel, veterinarians and trained elephants from Dudhwa Tiger Reserve (DTR). The tiger was brought to the Divisional Forest office, where a medical examination confirmed that it was completely healthy, with intact canines and claws and capable of hunting.

            Despite this, the tiger was sent to Gorakhpur Zoo on Sunday following orders from Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & Chief Wildlife Warden of Uttar Pradesh Anuradha Vemuri. Vemuri said the rescued big cat was a ‘Sugarcane Tiger’ so it was being sent to Gorakhpur zoo. (A “sugarcane tiger” is a term commonly used for a wild tiger that strays out of forest areas and takes shelter in sugarcane fields near villages or farmlands). A forest range officer in Bahraich also confirmed that the tiger was being shifted to Gorakhpur zoo on the orders of higher authorities.

            The decision has triggered strong resentment among wildlife enthusiasts and conservation experts. Former wildlife warden Allahabad (now Prayagraj) V.K. Singh said that since the tiger had neither attacked nor injured anyone and was fit to survive in the wild, it should have been released back into its natural habitat in Katarniaghat or Dudhwa National Park. He noted that tigers frequently stray into dense bushes or sugarcane fields, mistaking them for grassland extensions of their territory.

            Former Katarniaghat DFO Gyan Prakash Singh highlighted that a healthy tiger plays a vital role in sustaining wild populations and plays a crucial role in maintaining ecological balance. He and stressed the need of thorough assessment for relocation decision. Singh suggested the tiger likely sneaked from the Motipur range of Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary.

            Veterinarian Dr. Deepak Verma, who examined the tiger, confirmed that it was a fully grown and fit adult with intact canines and claws, capable of hunting effectively. He said the animal had recently hunted and dragged a bull weighing around 4 to 5 quintals, which clearly proved its strength and hunting ability.

            Bhagwan Das Lakhmani, president of the Katarniaghat Friends Club, called the department’s decision unfortunate and wrong. He said that the tiger had not caused any incident. He said that tigers and other wild animals often wander into sugarcane fields or dense bushes during fog, mistaking them for forest areas, and this alone is no ground to confine them in a zoo. Lakhmani termed the move as injustice with the big cat.

            Wildlife groups have now demanded a review of the decision and urged authorities to prioritize rehabilitation of healthy wild animals in their natural habitat instead of confining them to zoos. A senior forest officer also termed the decision against the guidelines of the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA)

            Under India’s wildlife management protocols (guided by the NTCA), healthy straying tigers without conflict history are typically evaluated for safe release into suitable habitats to maintain genetic diversity and ecological balance. Critics argue this case met those criteria, making zoo confinement unnecessary.

            In a dramatic bust that underscores the vulnerabilities at India’s porous borders and the allure of cross-border vices; five young men from Lucknow were arrested yesterday for impersonating high-ranking officials while attempting to sneak into Nepal for a night of gambling. Equipped with a souped-up Toyota Innova Crysta flashing red and blue lights like a government VIP convoy, the group claimed elite statuses—including one posing as a Principal Secretary in the state secretariat—to evade scrutiny. But their ruse crumbled under questioning, leading to the seizure of cash, gadgets, and a swift handover to local police.

            The incident unfolded on the evening of January 11 at the bustling Rupaidiha check-post, a key gateway along the Indo-Nepal border in Bahraich district. Recently Foreign nationals, including Chinese citizen attempting illegal entry, have also been apprehended here, raising concerns about border security.

            According to Ganga Singh Udawat, Commandant of the 42nd Battalion of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) a joint team of SSB jawans and local police flagged down the suspicious vehicle during routine checks. “The Innova bearing logo of UP Government arrived blaring a siren, with red and blue lights flashing, mimicking an official escort,” Udawat recounted. “One occupant boldly identified himself as an IAS officer, while another claimed to be the son of a police inspector. Their stories didn’t add up during intensive interrogation.”

            The vehicle in question, a sleek Toyota Innova Crysta, had been modified with unauthorized emergency lights and a siren—equipment typically reserved for law enforcement or high officials—to intimidate and bypass authorities. Such modifications are illegal under Indian traffic laws.

            The five arrested individuals were identified as Dharmendra Singh son of Ambar Singh, Shubham Bajpai, Anmol Yadav (alias Ranjit Yadav), Sachin Singh, and Swapnil Sahay. They were handed over to Rupaideha police on Monday. Under pressure, they confessed their true intent: a cross-border jaunt to Nepalganj, a Nepali town just across the border known for its thriving casino scene. Nepalganj’s casinos draw thousands of Indian tourists annually, lured by legal gambling that’s banned in most parts of India. This “gambling tourism” has boomed, with Indians crossing over for high-stakes games

            Police Circle Officer Nanpara, Pahup Singh, elaborated on the arrests: “The group admitted to installing the lights and siren to dodge police en route. We recovered 6 mobile phones, a chip device—likely for casino gaming—a power bank, and a substantial ₹2,17,480 in cash.

            Adding a layer of concern, two of the accused have prior criminal records. Dharmendra Singh, who posed as the IAS Principal Secretary, faces charges at Lucknow’s PGI and Sushant Golf City police stations for gambling offenses. Anmol Yadav has a case pending at Sushant Golf City as well. “These aren’t first-timers,” noted Rupaiyadiha Police Station in-charge Ramesh Rawat.

            An FIR (No. 007/2026) has been lodged at Rupaiyadiha Police Station under Section 319(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which deals with cheating by personation. After preliminary proceedings, the quintet was presented before the Bahraich district court and remanded to judicial custody.

जनपद में हाल ही में किए गए समायोजन-3 को लेकर जूनियर हाई स्कूल शिक्षक संघ ने कड़ा एतराज जताया है। संघ का कहना है कि समायोजन प्रक्रिया में कई स्तरों पर गंभीर त्रुटियां सामने आई हैं और अनेक शिक्षकों का समायोजन उनकी सहमति व निर्धारित मानकों की अनदेखी कर किया गया है। संगठन ने इन विसंगतियों को सुधारने की मांग करते हुए जिला बेसिक शिक्षा अधिकारी को साक्ष्यों सहित विस्तृत पत्र सौंपा है।

शिक्षक संघ द्वारा दिए गए पत्र में स्पष्ट किया गया है कि समायोजन के दौरान न तो पद की प्रकृति का ध्यान रखा गया और न ही शासन द्वारा तय दिशा-निर्देशों का पालन किया गया। संघ का आरोप है कि कुछ प्रधानाध्यापकों का समायोजन कर दिया गया, जबकि प्रधानाध्यापक (हेड मास्टर) के समायोजन से संबंधित कोई स्पष्ट आदेश ही जारी नहीं हुआ था।

प्रधानाध्यापकों व पीएम श्री विद्यालयों से जुड़े मामले
संघ के अनुसार सरोज कुमारी (जूनियर विद्यालय शेख दहीर, तजवापुर) और मंजू देवी यादव (कंपोजिट स्कूल रिसिया) दोनों प्रधानाध्यापिका हैं, इसके बावजूद उनका समायोजन कर दिया गया, जो नियमों के विपरीत है। इसी तरह शत्रुघ्न वर्मा, प्रदीप कुमार वर्मा और संयोगिता सिंह पीएम श्री विद्यालयों में कार्यरत शिक्षक हैं। संगठन का कहना है कि पीएम श्री विद्यालयों से शिक्षकों का समायोजन किया जाना स्वयं में ही नीति के खिलाफ है।

दिव्यांग व महिला शिक्षकों के साथ अनदेखी
शिक्षक संघ ने यह भी आरोप लगाया है कि समायोजन में मानवीय पक्ष की अनदेखी की गई। नरगिस बानो, जो कंपोजिट विद्यालय बरौली, जरवल में कार्यरत हैं, दिव्यांग होने के बावजूद उनका समायोजन कर दिया गया। वहीं संजीदा बानो (कंपोजिट राजापुर माफी, चित्तौरा) को उनके ही ब्लॉक से दूर तैनात कर दिया गया, जिससे उन्हें आवागमन और पारिवारिक कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़ रहा है।

दूरस्थ विद्यालयों में जबरन तैनाती का आरोप
समायोजन-3 में कई शिक्षकों को उनके निवास स्थान और वर्तमान कार्यस्थल से अत्यधिक दूर विद्यालयों में भेजे जाने का मामला भी सामने आया है। इनमें नीति यादव (उच्च प्राथमिक विद्यालय कसमरा, जरवल), नेहा तबस्सुम, अनीता यादव, सुभाष चंद्र विश्वास (शाहपुर जोतहठीला, चित्तौरा), जनक राम वर्मा (कंपोजिट जोहरा), त्रिलोकी नाथ (बेलवा भारी, नवाबगंज), वसीम अहमद (कंपोजिट जरवल देहात), जितेंद्र कुमार (कंपोजिट देवदत्तपुर, शिवपुर), वैभव राय (उच्च प्राथमिक विद्यालय किशनपुर माफी, शिवपुर), महेंद्र प्रताप (कंपोजिट कोदही, फखरपुर) और विनय राव (कंपोजिट सुआगाडा, फखरपुर) शामिल हैं। संघ का कहना है कि इन शिक्षकों को बिना उनकी मांग और परिस्थिति पर विचार किए दूरस्थ विद्यालयों में भेज दिया गया।

प्रत्यावेदनों पर निर्णय न होना चिंता का विषय
जिला अध्यक्ष विद्या विलास पाठक ने बताया कि प्रभावित सभी शिक्षकों ने अपने-अपने प्रत्यावेदन जिला बेसिक शिक्षा अधिकारी को सौंप दिए हैं। संगठन की मांग है कि इन प्रत्यावेदनों पर समिति गठित कर गंभीरता से विचार किया जाए और शिक्षकों को उनकी मांग के अनुरूप नजदीकी विद्यालयों में समायोजित किया जाए। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि अब तक समायोजन की संशोधित सूची जारी न होना शिक्षकों के बीच चिंता और असंतोष का कारण बन रहा है।

मानकों के अनुसार समायोजन की मांग
शिक्षक संघ ने स्पष्ट किया है कि समायोजन प्रक्रिया पूरी तरह से निर्धारित मानकों, शासनादेशों और मानवीय दृष्टिकोण के अनुसार की जानी चाहिए। यदि जल्द ही विसंगतियों को दूर नहीं किया गया तो संगठन आगे आंदोलनात्मक कदम उठाने पर भी विचार कर सकता है।

बहराइच: उत्तर प्रदेशीय जूनियर हाई स्कूल शिक्षक संघ की मांग पर बहराइच सांसद आनंद कुमार गोंड़ ने केंद्रीय शिक्षा मंत्री धर्मेंद्र प्रधान को पत्र लिखकर यह आग्रह किया है कि शिक्षा अधिकार अधिनियम (RTE) लागू होने से पूर्व नियुक्त शिक्षकों को TET (टेट) परीक्षा से मुक्त किया जाए।

सांसद गोंड़ ने शिक्षक संघ द्वारा सौंपे गए मांग पत्र के आधार पर केंद्रीय मंत्री को भेजे गए पत्र में लिखा है कि जिस राज्य में जिस तारीख से शिक्षा अधिकार अधिनियम लागू किया गया है, उससे पहले नियुक्त शिक्षकों को TET अनिवार्यता से बाहर रखा जाए। उत्तर प्रदेश में यह नियम 27 जुलाई 2011 से लागू हुआ था, इसलिए इस तिथि से पहले नियुक्त सभी शिक्षकों को छूट मिलनी चाहिए।

सुप्रीम कोर्ट के फैसले से बढ़ी चिंता

गौरतलब है कि सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने 1 सितंबर 2025 को दिए निर्णय में कहा था कि कक्षा 1 से 8 तक पढ़ाने वाले सभी शिक्षकों को TET पास करना अनिवार्य है। अन्यथा, दो वर्ष बाद उनकी सेवा समाप्त कर दी जाएगी। इस निर्णय से प्रदेश के लाखों शिक्षक चिंतित हैं।

इसी मुद्दे को लेकर जिला अध्यक्ष विद्या विलास पाठक की अगुवाई में जूनियर हाई स्कूल शिक्षक संघ का प्रतिनिधिमंडल बहराइच सांसद से मिला था। प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने तर्क दिया कि 2011 से पूर्व नियुक्त शिक्षकों ने उस समय की सभी आवश्यक शैक्षणिक योग्यताएँ पूर्ण की थीं, इसलिए अब TET अनिवार्य करना व्यावहारिक नहीं है।
उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि कोई भी नियम बनने के बाद भविष्य पर लागू होता है, न कि पिछली तारीखों से।

40 लाख शिक्षकों पर प्रभाव का अंदेशा

सांसद गोंड़ ने अपने पत्र में चिंता जताई कि इस नियम से देशभर में लगभग 40 लाख शिक्षक प्रभावित होंगे, जबकि उत्तर प्रदेश में ही 4 लाख से अधिक परिवारों पर असर पड़ेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार चाहे तो संसद में कानून बनाकर या अन्य विधिक उपायों से इन शिक्षकों को राहत दे सकती है।

उन्होंने बताया कि इस मुद्दे पर उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार और जूनियर शिक्षक संघ ने भी सुप्रीम कोर्ट में प्रस्तुतियाँ दी हैं।

शिक्षक संघ ने स्वागत किया

बहराइच सांसद द्वारा उठाए गए इस कदम का जूनियर हाई स्कूल शिक्षक संघ ने स्वागत किया है।
संघ के जिला अध्यक्ष विद्या विलास पाठक ने कहा कि सांसद गोंड़ का प्रयास “शिक्षक व शिक्षा हित में महत्वपूर्ण कदम” है।

बहराइच के हजारों शिक्षक सांसद के इस प्रयास की सराहना कर रहे हैं और इसे उम्मीद की नई किरण मान रहे हैं।

बहराइच: शिक्षक संघ की संयुक्त कार्य समिति की बैठक में बनी रणनीति, 24 नवंबर को जंतर-मंतर पर प्रदर्शन

बहराइच, 9 नवम्बर।
उत्तर प्रदेशीय जूनियर हाई स्कूल शिक्षक संघ संयुक्त कार्य समिति की बैठक रायपुरराजा स्थित कैंप कार्यालय में संपन्न हुई। बैठक की अध्यक्षता जिला अध्यक्ष विद्या विलास पाठक ने की, जबकि संचालन प्रभारी महामंत्री यादवेंद्र यादव ने किया।

बैठक में टीईटी (TET) को अनिवार्य करने के निर्णय का विरोध करते हुए शिक्षकों ने इसे अनुचित और अपमानजनक बताया। वक्ताओं ने कहा कि पहले से कार्यरत शिक्षकों पर टीईटी की बाध्यता थोपना न्यायोचित नहीं है।

बैठक में निर्णय लिया गया कि 24 नवम्बर को दिल्ली के जंतर-मंतर पर धरना-प्रदर्शन किया जाएगा। इसके लिए जिले से 1000 से अधिक शिक्षक दिल्ली पहुंचेंगे। प्रत्येक विकास खंड स्तर पर जिम्मेदारियां सौंपी गई हैं ताकि आंदोलन को सफल बनाया जा सके।

कार्य समिति ने यह भी प्रस्ताव पारित किया कि जो पदाधिकारी अपनी जिम्मेदारियां नहीं निभा रहे हैं या बैठकों में प्रतिभाग नहीं करते, उन्हें पद से मुक्त किया जाएगा।

समस्याओं के समाधान के लिए कड़ा रुख

बैठक में निर्णय लिया गया कि चयन, वेतनमान, एरियर तथा 75 शिक्षकों के रुके हुए वेतन को लेकर संगठन इस माह के भीतर ही जिला बेसिक शिक्षा अधिकारी एवं वित्त एवं लेखा अधिकारी से वार्ता कर समाधान कराएगा।
यदि समस्याओं का समाधान नहीं हुआ, तो दिसंबर माह में बड़ा आंदोलन छेड़ा जाएगा।

संगठन को मजबूत करने का आह्वान

बैठक में राष्ट्रीय संयुक्त मंत्री राधेश्याम कनौजिया, प्रांतीय उपाध्यक्ष एम. सिराजुद्दीन न्यूटन, प्रांतीय संयुक्त मंत्री भूपेंद्र प्रसाद श्रीवास्तव, बलवंत सिंह, एवं मंडलीय संयुक्त मंत्री आशुतोष वर्मा ने शिक्षकों से संगठन को मजबूत करने और एकजुट होकर लड़ाई लड़ने का आह्वान किया।

Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh:

            The Shramjeevi Patrakar Union, Bahraich, on Wednesday submitted a memorandum addressed to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath through District Magistrate Akshay Tripathi and Superintendent of Police Ram Nayan Singh, demanding the immediate suspension and a high-level inquiry against SHO Nanpara, Inspector Rajnath Singh.

            The union alleged that Inspector Rajnath Singh conducted a raid at the house of Rajnish Satya, an active member of the union, late at night on October 9, 2025 and misbehaved with journalist’s family members.

            According to the memorandum, Inspector Rajnath Singh, accompanied by a large police force, reached the journalist’s residence around 12:22 a.m. on the intervening night of October 8–9, creating panic among family members, including women and children. The union termed the officer’s behavior as “highly condemnable” and “an attack on the dignity and freedom of the press.”

            The union clarified that journalist Rajnish Satya has no connection with any criminal or anti-national activities, alleging that the police action appeared to be an attempt to intimidate him for his journalistic work. It stated that such incidents tarnish the image of the police and are detrimental to democratic values.

Calling the act “an attempt to crush the voice of independent journalism,” the union urged the Chief Minister to take strict action and made two key demands:

1. Formation of a high-level committee to investigate the entire incident.
2. Immediate removal of Inspector Rajnath Singh from his post pending inquiry.

The memorandum warned that if prompt action is not taken, the journalist community would be compelled to organize protests and intensify their agitation.

Those present on the occasion included Union’s district president Sanjay Mishra, Abdur Rahman alias Bachche Bharti, Tahir Hussain, Azim Mirza, Sanjay Dwivedi, Vinod Dwivedi, Virendra Srivastava, Mohammad Kashif, Arshad Quddus, Raman Soni, Raja Pathak, Rohit Tripathi, Paritosh Verma, Bhupendra, Amarnath Trivedi, Athar Mehndi, Advait Bhushan Srivastava, Nitin Bansal, Faheem Qidwai, and many other journalists.

उत्तर प्रदेश उद्योग व्यापार मंडल बहराइच के जिलाध्यक्ष एवं मार्गदर्शक स्व. गौरीशंकर भानीरामका के निधन पर मंगलवार को शहर के आनंद मार्केट में आयोजित शोकसभा में व्यापारियों ने उन्हें भावभीनी श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की। इस दौरान उपस्थित जनों ने दो मिनट का मौन रखकर दिवंगत आत्मा की शांति के लिए प्रार्थना की।

जिला महामंत्री बृजमोहन मातनहेलिया ने कहा कि उनकी उपस्थिति से व्यापारी वर्ग को आत्मविश्वास मिलता था। वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष मनीष मल्होत्रा ने उन्हें सरल और मिलनसार व्यक्तित्व बताते हुए कहा कि “उनकी अनुपस्थिति से जो शून्य पैदा हुआ है, उसे भरना कठिन होगा।”

नगर महामंत्री आशीष कंसल, जिला कोषाध्यक्ष नवनीत अग्रवाल, नगर कोषाध्यक्ष सुमित खन्ना, नानपारा अध्यक्ष अब्दुल मुशीर सेठ, युवा जिलाध्यक्ष मयंक त्रिपाठी तथा युवा महामंत्री पीयूष मातनहेलिया ने भी स्व. भानीरामका को श्रद्धांजलि दी और उनके योगदान को अमूल्य बताया।

अंत में उपस्थित सभी व्यापारियों ने संकल्प लिया कि वे स्व. गौरीशंकर भानीरामका के बताए मार्ग पर चलकर व्यापार समाज की सेवा जारी रखेंगे।
